The Two-Pronged Approach to Being a $20K/Month Content Creatorš
Here's why doing UGC brand deals is the perfect cloaked dealš¤
Are you feeling it now Mr. Krabs?
The older I get, the more I understand Mr. Krabsā perspective (and not just because Iām Jewish). Turns out, these bills really donāt pay themselves. Brand deals are the bread and butter of influencers and creators alike, but are you selling out by doing them? Hell noā¦not when UGC exists. Hereās why.
The influencer economy is evolving, and User-Generated Content (UGC) is the ultimate cheat code for creators who want to make serious money without cluttering their personal profiles with product placements. You can be whoever the hell you want to be on your own socials - while stacking high-paying UGC brand deals in the background.
The Power of UGC: Get Paid Without Selling Out š°š
For those new here, UGC isnāt traditional influencer marketing. Youāre not pushing products to your followersāyouāre creating content for brands to post on their channels. This means:
ā
You donāt have to turn your personal page into an ad feed.
ā
You get paid while still posting whatever you want.
ā
You build long-term brand relationships without audience fatigue.
Itās the perfect cloaked dealāone that can easily put $20K months within reach. You donāt need a million followers. Hell, you donāt even need 100K. If you have ~20K followers and a solid portfolio, you can be hitting five-figure months just from UGC deals.
The Two-Pronged Approach to Long-Term Creator Success šš±
Hereās how I structure my days to grow my content business every single day:
š Half My Time ā Building My Personal Brand ā This is where I experiment, create content I love, and engage with my audience. This very newsletter, for example, falls into this category. Whether itās trying new video formats, launching a content series, or just showing up consistently with meme posts, this is the long game that opens doors and raises my value.
š The Other Half ā Executing on UGC Campaigns ā This is where I secure the bag. I work with brands and agencies to create polished, high-converting ads that never even touch my personal feed. The bigger my personal brand gets, the more I can charge for UGC - and the more opportunities flow in. Scale with higher rates.
By watering both of these every day, Iāve built a system that continuously grows my brand and my bank account. This is all done from home, which is fun. Itās like watering a money tree in my living room, and soon enough, youāll be sitting under its shade. If only I treated my real living room plants like my business.
How You Can Start Today šāØ
šÆ Build a UGC Portfolio ā A few strong examples of ad-style content go a long way. Brands need content that sells, not just looks good. Use canva for a free portfolio to start.
šÆ Set a Posting Schedule for Your Own Content ā Stay consistent. I post twice a day minimum. Test new ideas - series are fantastic for growth. I just started a new Erewhon series here. Not sure if it has legs yet, but weāll check back in after 10 videos. Your personal brand is the long-term investment that compounds.
šÆ Split Your Time Wisely ā A few hours on your personal brand, a few hours on UGC. Balance both, and youāll see real momentum.
